My Learning Collaborative ("My LC") is a is a specialized framework that supports interdisciplinary and competency-based learning. myLC allows students to set and track their goals, all customized to your school's langauage defining your pedagogy.

Separate from you learning or content management system, myLC is a framework that allows students and teachers to take greater agency and ownership of learning by having more control in how to group and regroup competencies into their own meaningful sessions. In fact most schools who use myLC use their favorite LMS to manage their students documents.

myLC is ideal for school that track learning targets as competencies using interdisciplinary units of structure.

Learner Centered

Traditional grading adds students to teachers and their courses, typically locked into a fixed calendar defining terms or semesters. myLC adds progress on content standards to the learner through teacher or student designed, relevant and dynamic learning modules.

Competency Based Tracking

Track students by competencies, create custom groups of any students and competencies from any course. Expected progress is personalized to student goals.

Group and Regroup

True personalized competency-based learning requires the ability to quickly group and re-group students. myLC allows users to create all kinds of rosters: units, classes, seminars, courses, field trips, courses or whatever your school sets up for session labels in myLC (all customizable to your pedagogy, of course). Teachers control whether these rosters can be visible to students. Account administrators can even open rosters for student self-registration. Teachers can add learning targets from any course or subject to their rosters.


myLC supports interdisciplinary units of study, where teachers can have the flexibility to combine learning competencies from multiple subjects or courses, while separately maintaining a student's completion record for each individual course.


It's your pedagogy! myLC lets you use your labels that define your learning. Define labels for:

  • Grades, be it a number, letter, or other descriptor.
  • Units of instructions, be they seminars, units, or classes
  • Grade appropriate descriptors for your school. For example, elementary schools may group learning by "subject," where high schools may group by "course."
